Jason is the founder and lead advisor for the eDiscovery Advisory practice providing valuable and insightful guidance to eDiscovery and Information Governance challenges. He has direct in-house experience with a global financial institution and a financial regulator developing solutions around eDiscovery workflows, legal hold, legacy data, and matter management systems.
He has conducted more than 350 computer forensic examinations for civil litigators and has provided expert witness services related to electronic evidence topics and data preservation issues.
Jason has also conducted more than 700 CLE courses on topics such as eDiscovery, document retention, preservation archiving, collection methodologies, email archiving and compliance, effective communication with IT, and the technical aspects of electronic evidence. Jason is currently certified as a Certified eDiscovery Specialist (ACEDS), Information Governance Professional (ARMA), AWS Cloud Practitioner (Amazon), & O365 MS-900 (Microsoft).
For the past 12 years, Jason has focused on working in the highly regulated and privacy-driven European & APAC regions. He is exceptionally skilled in aligning organizations’ business requirements and policies to best practices while being able to cost-effectively find practical best-of-breed solutions.
Jason also has direct in-house experience managing Information technology networks and technical operations giving him the ability to translate seamlessly between Business, Legal and IT.
Jason has worked with some of the largest global organizations including UBS, Credit Suisse, Zurich Cantonal, MAN Invest, Nestle, Ricola, Daimler Chrysler, BMW, Caterpillar, Novartis, Roche, British Petroleum, Sasol, Anglo Gold, and Fox Diamonds.
Michael works regularly with organizations evaluating their eDiscovery and information governance programs then providing advisory services to identify, document, and drive change management initiatives.
Michael is an industry expert in compliance archive technology and the complexities with legacy data. Michael also has extensive experience with the forensic collection of mobile, cloud-based, and on-premise data sources across the globe.
Michael has in-house experience with global financial services organizations standardizing process reviews and developing automation solutions targeting the elimination of manual steps reducing risk and money for the organization. He has successfully implemented complex technology and created runbooks supporting automated, defensible workflows across a variety of technologies.
